Labour leaders in Osun State have rejected the plan by Governor Rauf Aregbesola to pay workers modulated salaries for the month of November 2017 .
The labour leaders in a statement in Osogbo on Tuesday insisted that the governor must pay them full salaries following the receipt of N 6. 3 bn by the state government as the third tranche of the Paris club loan refund .
The statement was signed by the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress , Jacob Adekomi ; the Trade Union Congress chairman, Adekola Adebowale ; and the Chairman of the Joint Negotiation Council, Bayo Adejumo .
The labour leaders stated , “ That the leadership of labour dissociated themselves from government directive by fiat to effect payment of half salary and pension from the month of November 2017 as there is an overwhelming evidence that the state is financially solvent to effect full salary and pension now (since Osun state is not an island in Nigeria ).
“ That workers in the state reject the proposed instrument which affirmed the level of government indebtedness to workers and pensioners as that does not translate to money in individuals’ pockets. Finally , we wish to say that the leadership of labour is committed to the struggle to put smile on the faces of all workers and pensioners alike. ”
Meanwhile , Aregbesola has urged workers in the state to bear with the state , saying the financial storm would soon be over.
The governor made the appeal in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information , Mr . Adelani Baderinwa .
Aregbesola said , “ The present pattern of modulated salary payment cannot be altered for now due to obvious lack of funds to so do , however , workers would begin to receive bank alert for the payment of November salary any moment from now . ”

After having used Lagos Money to win Osun State and Osun Money to win other states what exactly is the benefit to anyone other than ACAN stalwarts?

What kind of wicked people did we elect as leaders sef

What wrong did we do to God to allow us this devil's hearted creatures as humans?

How do this vultures sleep?

What kind of child enjoys the wickedness of the Father? My father's know i'll tell him the truth at all times.

God please forgive us our sins and deliver us from terrible leaders.

If this bastard removes 1 billion and pay salaries will it kill his children destiny or will that stop him from making his own personal gains? I just don't get this kind of creatures in government.

We can compare this to a private firm whose profit margin nosedived, it either downsize or make it personnel take pay cut, the choice is the worker's.

Somebody collect such amount of money but refuse to pay full salary. If he call them for a rally u will see how they will all go and camp under a hot sun shouting APC slogan.

Stop churning out daft analogies . . .
1) In a private firm operation and its existence are both sustained by workers effort but in Osun that's not the case as there are tens of thousands of ghost workers and even more idle hands.
2) In a private firm, the establishment does not expand in size (asset and capital) while paying half salary but Osun state has done the equivalent of that and comissions at least a project every other month while it pays workers who add taste and value to these infrastructures half salary.
3) Private firms don't take stupid loans and force workers to shoulder the burden.

If you don't know what to post regarding sensitive issues, silence is an option.
Aregbe has determined that projects like new school buildings are more important than the zeal and motivation of the workers who determine to great extent what the student get in return. He could have done such projects in moderation and balance things up but chose to gamble on oil earning that's beyond is control.

Where were the people crying now when Aregbe was paying idle hands 13th month salary ?
The mismanagement didn't start today. The table only turned against those it used to favour. I am sure one of the new beneficiaries of this half salary will soon come and defend this act of wickedness by Aregbesola. Ðèøméllø he is.

In summary, civil servants that constitutes less that 10percent of the population should be priorities over capital projects that will benefit everyone? Well done, you will make a very good leader.

Who does the civil servant serve ? They serve the people. That makes your dull post a paradox. Next ? . . .
By the way when Aregbe builds road does he build a single lane where there are two? If no, then why is doing project and neglecting the people running the projects (workers) ?
