After 50years of Nationhood, the status quo has not worked. With 80% living on less than $1 per day, then surely Nigeria in my view is a Nation of Minorities.

So we have to do something new, we have to shake up the structure of power and try something different. We have to reshape the political landscape

Let us transit from the term Muslim North to Muslim Part of North

Let us have a Christain Governors Forum so that Christains in the North can begin to have a new forum and group where they are equal partners like everyone else
. This has the capacity to change the choice of politics in states like Taraba, Adamawa, Benue, Jos, Nasarawa and Southern Kaduna.

I think with the above changes Muslims who have had skewed advantage since independence will begin to sit up and embrace the unity (in real terms) and secularity of Nigeria, it will ensure that Muslims who want to run Nigeria will work hard to show their moderate and civilised credentials, it will protect the interests of minority ethnic people of the North and South-South and make them part of a larger group where their voice matters just like everyone elses.

No check, just check the map of Nigeria and you willl realise that Nigeria is a majority Christain country. Why do people who want to remain in stone ages control the politicis of this country?

Its time to continue to give the Idoma, Lantangs, Beroms, Angas, Lafia, Ijaw people a voice for the sake of a new future where everybody is minority. Because when everybody is minority then their is no distinct majority and when their is no distinct majority everybody becomes Majority. And thats the basis of humanity, all are equal before God.

Nigeria is truly a Nation of Minorities.

This is a better map. There are large Christian populations in some of the places beyond the "Berom Wall" (good name grin).

Thanks Beaf

Glad to know people see what I see

We in the South just need to work hard to give a voice to the Christains in the North.

It is important for the future of Nigeria.

Let Christain Governors Forum Emerge. !!!!!!!! That will be a first step to redrawing the political landscape.  God Knows I will rather have a Lantang President than a taliban wanna be.

So that Jonah Jang, Gabriel Suswan,  and others will have a forum to rob minds with their colleagues down south so that they can understand that their aspiration for a more prosperous, civilised and secured Benue or Plateau is better served by forming political alliances with those down South of the Niger.

This is not about undermining Muslims though but about building an egalitarian society

Imagine! This tread is 14 years old, yet NOTHING has changed! If anything, things have gotten worse! We're only good at blowing useless grammar and holding conferences to keep on saying and stating what we already know!
