After public outcry over appointment of three dead people of whom the president himself publicly mourned, further checks has also revealed president Buhari has also appointed Hon. Patricia Olubumi Etteh, Accused and sacked as speaker HOR for corruption and Hon. Herman Hembe, also accused of corruption by both Hon. Patricia Etteh and Anyim Pius Anyim for bribery allegation while he held sway as the Chairman Security and Exchange Commission.


Patricia Etteh was accused of of expending N30 million on hotel bills in eight months following her appointment in January 2010.

She was also accused of spending N850,000 on food in Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The resignation of the Speaker and her deputy was the culmination of a protracted crisis over a N628m contract scandal, which compelled the House to set up a nine-member probe panel, headed by Mr. David Idoko.


Hembe on the other hand was accused of “askinh the commission to contribute N39 million towards the ongoing charade of a public hearing and demanded another N5 million cash on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. He made both demands by proxy.


Hembe was also accused of collecting estacode and other travel allowances from the Securities and Exchange Commission to travel to the Dominican Republic on a capacity enhancement conference for capital market regulators. He did not go neither did he return the money collected.”
