The All Progressives Congress and other parties in Delta state were handed a resounding defeat by the Peoples Democratic party in the state.

PDP Wins All 22 Local Government Seats in Delta State

The Peoples Democratic Party has been declared winner in 22 local government areas of the 25-local-government state of Delta state by the Delta Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC).

Announcing the report of the last Saturday LG poll, DSIEC chairman, Barr Mike Ogbodu, on Sunday said that the election at Ughelli North and Ethiope East has been rescheduled for Tuesday 9, January 2018.


It will be recalled that election was inconclusive in the two local government areas due to violence that led to the torching of DSIEC office at Ughelli.



DSIEC also declared that APC won 1 councillorship position in Aniocha North Ward 2, while the result for Ika South LGA was announced not ready.
