He is our liberator. He is the man who broke the shackles of political timidity and wrenched the chains of economic naivety in our domain. Senator Andrew Uchendu describes him as "the one who belled the cat". His name is Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the "Ochi-aliri 1 of Ikwerre Land".

Little wonder the foremost socio-cultural organisation, Ikwerre Youth Movement, IYM, has set aside today, the 13th of January 2018, as a day to honour this colossus of a man who brought political freedom to our very doorsteps.
