Everyone from government, military and the citizens are to blame here.
Nigeria is a useless country whereby the Citizens will not combat the government and force their hand, government makes stupid decisions daily and gets away with it time and time again.
Useless government is wasting over 41m on useless jets that cost less than 10m each but the citizens sidon look.

For a start, you buy weapons according to priority need, in this case close combat air support for insurgency, and troop support.
Harrier jets - the British navy has dozens of 2nd hand ones for sale with the upgrade to F35s
A-10 Thunderbolt II - America is getting rid of them, buy for cheap
AH-64 Apache - plenty nations around the world willing to sell some.

Listen to that defense minister mallam Dan Ali and you will laugh how such a Fulani herdsman manage to be in charge of a military of 180 million humans.

U S will never want to sell such air crafts to Nigeria to end insurgency in the country rather they will prefer to sell to the likes of Bokoharam, ISIS and others like them for them to continue their insurgencies all because that is the major source of external revenue generation for the U S these days, why, because China has taken over the world economy through their commercial activities.

You are jumping from one country to another when you have Igbos who can build these things for you. This is not about Igbos being more educated or gifted, no, you have to understand the meaning of "NdIgbo or Ndi Gbo" which means "Ancient people". Many Igbos don't know know the meaning of their name to tell you how lost they are. Meaning, Igbo have built these things before in the former lives or civilizations, and these knowledge are just being reincarnated back into the new generations via DNA. Go and read books by Dr. Catherine Acholonu "They Lived Before Adam" and "Igbo Traditions Reveal Ancient Genetic Engineering."

These are powerful books, very deep and that will make you look carefully at Igbo people and why they are intentionally being repressed by the global powers...these people have documents on who the Igbos are. Igbos are alien to Africa, they migrated from the jewish land to Nigeria. This is why Igbos naturally are good at traveling and migrating to places and adapting faster than other groups simply because these things are in their DNA...THEIR FOREFATHERS DID IT, THESE THINGS STAY WITH YOU FOR EVER! Finally Randall Robinson said "when you die, you don't go anywhere, you stay in the family." meaning, you reincarnate back into a baby born in the family. Which means, whatever you did while alive will be passed on to that new child. Same thing is happening to the Igbos.

The same Igbos that couldn’t survive Nigeria area bombing due to their inability to purchase ammunitions from France and build a cheap runways after robbing CBN to get money and Nigeria govt subsequently changed its currency.

You mean the same Igbos who only waited to kill Nigeria Army to get a sophisticated guns.

The same Igbos who lost millions of their own when they couldn’t even build their own bullet.

The same Igbos that couldn’t beat the intelligence of one man called Obafemi Awolowo and made all their chest beating military gimmicks fell apart.

The same people who couldn’t not get beyond the intelligence of one man called Obafemi Awolowo who changed Nigeria currency when Igbos robbed the same Nigerians of their money to buy ammunitions.

The same Igbos who couldn’t find an alternative way to survive when an intelligent man called Awolowo came up with a brilliant idea of blockage so as to prevent these urchins fathers here today from being exterminated by Nigeria army.

The same Igbos who couldn’t lead their own and resulted to a Yoruba man for intelligence in leading the war

The same Igbos who couldn’t feed their own children but expected the same people they are killing to spoonfeed them.

You mean the same Igbos who employed the service of South African white pilots to fly the stolen Nigeria aircrafts at declaration of Biafra

You mean the same Igbos who couldn’t not come up with an idea when their enemy put up a blockage against them

The same Igbos whose leader took to his heels when the war song got to his door

The same Igbos who are still mourning about a self imposed war of over 40years in which they lost thousands of their kinsmen while those who fought in WW11 with casualties of over 20million people are now forming military, intelligence, economic and political alliances around the world.

If that’s the case, you build your fake clothes and drug without government intervention as you claimed, i dong think it ll cost Igbos anything to build just like every investor and begin to sell it like every capitalist countries in the world.

However, it is now obvious that USA just want to ridicule Nigeria with this crazy deal.

They don't want us to maintain them ourselves in case they get faulty.

I say we dump this deal as fast as a heart attack. The good ole Su-25 Frogfoot, plus the brand new J-17 multirole combat jets are all there begging to be purchased at a much cheaper rate. Better still, purchase the Super Tucano DIRECTLY from Brazil with ZERO American parts. To hell with them.

Understood, but why not get subsonic upgraded Su 25 close support aircrafts from Russia that can also use guided and unguided ammunitions?
Why tie down ourselves with unreliable Americans that have already started giving conditions on products you what do buy with your hard earned money. As if we are begging them to buy. Tomorrow when we disagree with them over minor issues they will then place "sanctions" on us by refusing to supply parts or armaments for the aircrafts. Example is Venezuela that bought F16 or Iran that bought F14 and had their whole fleets grounded over unrelated disagreements with the USA.
The cost of American munitions is also crazy. A single missile can cost over a $100k when the same missile from Russia cost $5k. Can Nigeria afford such? The Americans wont allow you modify their aircrafts to carry cheaper munitions from other countries.
Do you know that modern American aircraft also give the manufacturer situation and usage records just like your i phone? Norway recently had to consider the national security impact of that as they discovered their F35 jets were communicating with the USA without their knowledge. In short the USA manufacturer can send a bug or command to your aircraft to shut down, to refuse to start even to refuse to lock its aiming sensors and radars on a geo-location.
Finally do you know that you cannot sell American aircrafts to a third party without getting approval from the USA? Which means if Nigeria cannot sell the aircrafts to any other country if we are done with them.

Ineptitude in every major tier of government with seemingly demon-possessed officials curiously hellbent on ensuring the country's imminent demise either by instigated cataclysmic explosive catalyzing agencies or their refusal to ameliorate conditions favoring the flourishing of the myriad salient self-implosive threats in the country.

The only drawback i see to this country folding albeit in a very spectacular fashion is what the legend Fela had described as the average Nigerian's accursed asinine propensity for "suffering and smiling"!

This mediocres feel it's their birthright to make profit from being blithering fools at every little task while pushing the price tag and consequence of sorrows to the masses all the time. Iraqi F-16s $165 Million Each

Think of it as a military-industrial complex two-fer — first we invade Iraq, eight years later we’re selling it F-16s. “Iraq has now made its first transfer payment for the purchase of 18 F-16 fighter aircraft,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said Tuesday. “These aircraft are going to help provide air sovereignty for Iraq and to protect its territory and deter or counter regional threats.” They represent “the cornerstone of the kind of cooperation that we hope to have in the future to support the secure, peaceful, democratic development of Iraq.”

Iraqi jet jockeys can’t wait. “It was a dream come true to fly in the F-16,” Iraqi air force Brigadier General Ali al-Aaragy said after taking one of the fighters for a test ride at Arizona’s Luke Air Force Base nearly three years ago. The first flock of F-16s is slated to arrive in Iraq in 2014. The U.S. is selling Iraq 18 of the “low end” of the Pentagon’s famed “high-low mix” — F-15s were the more costly “high end.” But these 18 F-16s are no bargain.

The planes are going to cost $3 billion (extra spares and services could drive the total cost to $4.2 billion). That base price, without the options, works out to more than $165 million a plane — more than the current estimated $154 million price tag on the much more modern — so-called fifth generation — F-35. (The Pentagon stopped buying F-16s back in 1995; it paid an average of $17 million per plane).

http://nation.time.com/2011/09/28/sticker-shock-iraqi-f-16s-165-million-each/

The wiki $18 million cost you posted was from 1998. Do you know how much they are going for today? No of course. You saw 1998, but you skipped that date just to post false and misleading info.

Iraq is paying $165 Million Each F-16.

They are buying 18 F16 and the total cost of the package is $3-4 billion.

Be truthful and up to date with your facts.
