The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has told President Muhammadu Buhari to concede defeat if he loses in 2019. The Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to accept in good faith the outcome of the election should he and his party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) fail to win the 2019 Presidential election. Although Buhari is yet to make an official declaration for the 2019 race, there are signs that he is interested in seeking another term.
