Single: God Perspective

The human dictionary defines a Single as someone who is not married or dating. As others would also say, such a person is not engaged or not in a relationship. But how far is this true from the God perspective, according to the Scripture? I mean how far is it true that the person is not engaged, not married or not in a relationship, using the Scriptural view point. You remember the scripture that says that the person who is joined to an harlot is one with him; for two, God said, shall become one flesh (1 Cor. 6:16). Here, the said person is confirmed married by SEX with the harlot, not by any official wedding. In other words, you are married to whoever you have sex with, according to the God perspective. If this is your case, how far is it now true that you are not engaged or in a relationship with that harlot, though you guys are not dating or physically seeing each other anymore? The God perspective of HARLOT is anyone who commits fornication or adultery. Harlot is the one who defiles his body, the temple of the Holy Spirit. It is not just the woman by the road side waiting on men. I asked the question above because the truth is that the day that you had sex with that person, you were engaged to him or her in the spirit realm. You guys don't have to be seeing each other physically to experience that. You had a covenant on that day; so, you were already engaged, and from that moment you have a relationship, though invincible, with the person.
When the Bible said marriage is honourable in all and the bed undefiled (Hebrew 13:4), it was not talking about the physical bed we sleep on. The bed is your body where the Spirit of God rests upon. The God perspective of being a Single is being sexually pure and sanctified. Take this picture: One day, Jesus told two of his disciples to go get a particular colt to ride on. It was a time of his triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Jesus, the Bridegroom, sent for the bride, the spotless Church, for a triumphant marriage into glory. The Bible said that no man had ever sat on the colt. Wao! The colt was clean, fresh and pure. The colt was an illustration of the spotless Church, the body of Christ, whom He will take into glory on the last day. Before I forget, the colt was tied and then loosed. This gives a picture of the Church being delivered from the sinful world. Garments were placed on the colt: this talks about the Church putting on the heavenly body. And how does this relate to the God perspective of a Single? Being a Single is living a life of sexual purity, sanctification, and reservation for the man or lady in order to establish a marriage of Kingdom purpose or style. The earthly marriage between a man and a woman is a representation of the marriage between Christ and the Church. While you are waiting as a Single, you must be clean and sanctified just as the Church must be spotless to meet with Christ the bridegroom. You need to know this to have a glorious marriage along Kingdom style or principle. The parable of the Ten Virgins tells more. When we say stay virgin before marriage, we are talking along Kingdom principles, not just saying for a show off. However, second virginity is available if you lost the first, and that is Purity and Sanctification.
