Going by the now normal trend of Arsenal closing each season without trophies and especially Wenger's persistence in using his "old kids on the block" tactics that has failed to clinch the Gunners a trophy in SIX consecutive yrs & counting, should gafa Arsene Wenger be retained or off loaded? |

the problem is, he know what needs to be done but he's just not doing it if he's sacked and the new coach doesn't spend money on experienced tactful, we'll be in the same dip sheet anyways  . |

Utd had dias, until Ibr'vic Chelsea's been hibernated, Liv'pool i don't kw, Newcastle religated, Blackburn etc. De list goes on. It's dia recession period so fans shld take it in good faith. |

Am not an Arsenal fan but i recall the joy and smile on the face of my pals in the campus when Viera,Igwe,Pires,Berkamp & co was setting Highbury on fire warming the heart of every football lovers while winning trophies.Suddenly wenger now thinks yori yori footie is better than trophies. unfortunately, all your opinion counts for squat!!! how many of una dey dey stadium  ?how many of una be registered arsernal memberss, whey una input matter. just watch!!!!!!! una be television fan, by the way, the arsenal business model is profit making, its a business with shareholders, and they have decieded to give their investors value for their money, at least they try, with the investment made on players, wenger has tried.(compare it with the other big three in terms of spending and their balance sheet) PS:am a barcelona fan (since 1996-not a prosperity fan) |

Personally, i wudn't agree Wenger be sacked, he is a good coach, his records speaks 4 itself irrespective of no trophies 4 d past 5 - 6 seasons. I'll only advise the arsenal board 2 encourage him 2 buy some good n experienced players n add 2 wat his got, i bet arsenal wud be better dan barca. Ask urself dis questions, how many teams has made d champions league last 16 4 d past 11 yrs, i bet only a handful of clubs can boost of dat, in d premierleague, how many teams can boost of d top four places 4 d past 10 yrs or so, i know u guys can guess d answer. My only probs wit wenger is he is so stubborn n needs sum1 2 help him make those drastic decision of splashin out d cash wen d need b. Presently Arsenal has a young n talented team dat vry few teams in d world can beat, they just need an injection of experienced and good players. Wenger shouldn't be sacked, thats my take on it, he jus needs 2 spnd. Madrid spent nearly 300 million euros dis season, plus d number of coaches they've been changing, where ar they? |

AW to me is a very good coach but all he needs is some players with steel who can turn things around at points in the league when it matters. If he keeps on relying on kids to deliver, he has a long time ahead of him till he lifts another trophy at the emirates. He's even lucky he's at arsenal. He should ask Rijkaard what happened to him at Barcelona. At the rate at which he's going, Arsenal is turning out to be more of a talent-hunt club where those big teams come to lure raw talent being polished into rare gems by AW away with the prospects of silverware. Which player doesn't want to bask in the glory of winning the UCL or any other cup? That is an added Plus to their resumes. He should think of getting new well-established players into the team, but knowing him, i feel it in my gut(apologies to Special Agent Jethro Gibbs of NCIS) that this is the same song that we'll all be singing come end of next season. I hope i'm wrong though. |

Arsenal is paying off the loan on the emirate stadium, based on my club's financial plan to repay the loan - No big spending for the next 5 years. I believe in our young players and based on our position, we are not doing badly. When this young set of players mature, probably within the next 2 seasons, we will be unstoppable. Prof doesnt need to change th youth policy to win the EPL. You must ask why in the first place is he doing that, at least he has not been practising that since his appointment. He has two objectives but limited options. One is either to spend on big players and spend large amount on wages thereby plunging the club into huge debt portfolio or minimize his spending while servicing the debt (stadium). AW chose the 2nd option and the shareholders are not against that. I'm sure when the debt has finally been paid off, Arsenal will ave lot of money for whomever is appointed to buy big players. Sacking him is not the best solution. Chelsea had been sacking coach for the past 3 years & had not won the EPL. Madrid spent fortune on players and as at today cannot lay claim to any trophy. True fans stay with their club even if they in 4 tier divisions of any league. |
