Then it turns out the actual lion was not only fed grass, as was initially implied, but was also fed foods that gave it essential minerals that it would have become severely ill if it hadn't had them at all. Then it turns out the poor lion died at an abnormally young age of 9 years when the age of properly fed lions in captivity is 25-30 years!
