Senator Mao Arukwe Ohubaunwa’s two years stay in the senate can best be described as quintessential, going by his antecedents since he entered the senate, senator Ohuabunwa had within his two years in the senate shown result oriented presence in the red chambers and has contributed meaningfully to almost all the proceedings of the senate.

One can rightly say that given the short period he has been in the senate no other law maker who had represented Abia north in the past can match his attainments in the areas of law making and attraction of developmental projects to his constituency.

Senator Ohuabunwa had brought experience to bear in his job and has also shown efficacy and clarity of purpose in the senate, all these put together had produced evidenced results within a short period despite the distractions of having to leave his seat at the senate for months to face a runoff election.

Senator Ohuabunwa has positively maximized his position as the senate committee chairman on Primary Health Care & Communicable Diseases by attracting modern Primary health care facilities for Lodu Imeyi in bende LGA, Ndioji Abam , Arochukwu LGA, Uburu Ihie and Ugwuakuma Arochukwu and I can conveniently confirm that work is already in progress in all the facilities with contractors mobilized to site with a targeted period of completion not later than April 2018.

He had also through an exhibition of erudite and dogged representation attracted the setting up of a Water Project at Ndiokpo, Ihechiowa and a mini stadium at Arochukwu.

Driven by his commitment towards empowering women/youths from his constituency, Senator Ohuabunwa had amongst other sustainable empowerment schemes setup a Vocational Skill Acquisition Training Program for women and Youths in Abia north senatorial zone.
He has over time shown commitment towards the wellbeing and education of his people through qualitative representation in the senate by pushing legislations that will bring development and promote the collective good of Abia north senatorial zone, hence the bill for an act seeking to establish a federal polytechnic in Item, Abia state which has passed through first reading and another seeking to establish a federal college of education (technical) now set for public hearing and amongst other pivotal bills and motions.

I can state without fear of equivocation that Senator Ohuabunwa is on a mission to revolutionize representation through cerebral legislation and vociferous resistance on issues threatening the unity of the nation despite his being in the opposition at the senate.

Abia North and indeed the whole of Abia state should applaud the representative ingenuity of the Senator representing Abia north senatorial zone because, for him Abia north senatorial zone is a work in progress and with our cumulative support Abia North will hit the zenith in communal and rural development under the watch of Senator Mao Arukwe Ohuabunwa.
