President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, yesterday, questioned the genuineness of the anti-corruption war of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, Saraki questioned the sudden re-arraignment of the chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Mr. Danladi Umar, four days to the resumption of his retrial.

Buhari apc is a fraud and propaganda

Danladi re arraignment is to be used as a bait to do the wishes and command of apc against saraki when in the proper sense they are expected to produce evidence that they can use to prosecute the case. the drama continues

Beyond the allegations and the showoffs, which corrupt person has been jailed under PMB? I really had high expectations of him.

Can't fully blame him though. The fight against corruption is won and lost at the judiciary. If the judiciary decides to frustrate the system, there is very little that can be done by the leader.

Wish GOD will take over the judgement of these corrupt politicians

Buhari, APC, BMC and everyone in support of this flawed maladministration is a scam and a fraud.

Their greatest instruments are lies, deception and propaganda.

undecided In as much as PMB has failed, people often realize that the greatest enemy of the Nigerian state is the senate followed by house of reps members.
To effectively fight corruption we need strong laws to be enacted by them. PMB or the executive would not do it. It is the legislature hence that alone would stifle any meaningful war against corruption.
Saraki is a thief ad well as all other senators who were ex-governors that looted their various state treasuries dry, do u expect these same set of thieves to enact laws against stealing or corruption. It would be like shooting themselves in the feet. And that is where the likes of Ben Bruce and Shehu Sani have all failed. They are hypocrites whom I expected would champion a new course.
These same Saraki that ran down old Societe bank, who looted Kwara state treasuries, falsely declared his asssets, was receiving pension as a former governor and at the same time getting salaries as a serving senator.
Can anything meaningful come out from this den of robbers? NO.
What makes many developed countries what they are is effective, people-oriented legislation and of course strict enforcement of it without fear or favour.
Nigeria is doomed even PVCs come 2019 would never solve this problem as long as we have same system

God will not take over anything. Let him be.

You cannot do a lopsided corruption fight and win. That's why I'm a fan of building strong institutions and implementing preventive measures. When IPPIS was implemented, it affected both PDP and current APC Chieftains who were feeding fat from the ghost worker plague. It cut across all divides.

When the fertilizer reform was implemented, it affected both PDP and current APC chieftains who were feeding fat by extorting poor farmers.

What you guys were electing Buhari to do was to imprison opposition figures and leave his people. YES. Because everyone knows Tinubu and Amaechi were corrupt, yet you guys queued behind them as they sponsored Buhari.

Seriously, Metuh, FFK, et al are being prosecuted for using federal funds for GEJ's campaign. It is wrong. But it is no different than Rotimi, Tinubu, Saraki, Kwankwaso using Rivers, Lagos, Kwara, Kano state funds for Buhari's campaign.

A better way to end this plague is to enact a thorough Campaign Finance Act. The US has one that is enforced by the Federal Election Commission (FEC), an independent federal agency. Among the highlights of the law are caps to donations, declaration of receipt of funds (so FEC can track the source), and documentation of spending.

In 2019, Buhari and his goons will dip his hand into the treasury to finance their election. And if they win, no one would hear of it. But if he loses, the new government will expose it and use it as a distraction from their own corrupt campaign finance. Basically, we'd be going in circles.

We should stop placing our heads in the sand and stop reasoning as though we are uneducated. Tackle the root cause. Enact processes, prop up laws, build institutions, restructure the country. All this strong man nonsense is not helping anyone.

Everyone is the problem.

Let's restructure the country, everyone is dragging their feet. But they want a miracle worker to come and end corruption like flipping a switch. We are very unserious.

Nigeria have already failed by expecting anything good from the military constitution being practiced.
if they cannot restructure holistically the contraption should be divided. believing that anyone will make Nigeria better is an illusion and a dream. as long some of us are concerned these people are just buying time and postponing the evil day.

What would Buhari a doing right now?? Lol..

I wonder how long it would take for billions of dollars to be discovered by EFCC...

Re: Buhari’s War Against Corruption A Fraud – Saraki by elampiro(m): 1:49pm On Feb 07, 2018

Not a fraud. Buhari made it clear from beginning that what he was interested in was recovery. If you return the loot, you are left off the hook.

Only those who refused to return will be prosecuted to the last. Those who returned before being arrested were immediately left off the hook. That was the approach Buhari wanted until people were saying all talk no action. Then EFCC arrested Dasuki, Dokpesi, Metu, etc.

Now people want people to go to jail.
