My guy don't exhibit up ignorance hear. Between 1960--63, Zik was the government. Gen, thus representing the Queen as Hos because Nigeria was still not totally free fr British dominion. This was while between these period, the Privy council in London was the final court (supreme Court) in respect to ish about Nigeria.
Remember ours was a parliamentary system which allows for coalition and vest the office of Hos and HoG on two different peep. Sir Tafawa Balewa was Head of Government, he was in charge of the military and governmental activities. When Nigeria in 1963 became a Republic, that when Zik started bearing president. His status was ceremonial, yes he could invite a new prime minister to form a government as happened in the 1965 general election, when he invited the out going Prime Minister Balewa to form a new government. PLZ don't come and start telling us how u wasted up dad's money throughout ur stay in school owing to ur inability to understand how British parliamentary system works which Nigeria once tried in the first Republic.
DerideGull:

You are very childish and ignorant. There is nothing such as ceremonial president in the 1959 and 1963 Nigerian constitution. Azikwe was Nigerian constitutional President, Head o State and C in C of the armed forces.

I don't think you comprehend what was being said in the video. The man Ahmadu Bello was talking with respect to Northern region and he is entitled to support his people within the context of that time.

He was talking about putting Northerner first in the Norther enclave before any other tribes and his fear as espoused is the ever present attempt of Igbo to seek to dominate others wherever they go. In fact he went further to say towards the end of the clip that it was rare for Northern men to be employed in other region at the time except for labourer's job.

Fast forward to today, how easy do you think it is for any other Nigerians to acquire property in Igbo land despite Igbo's easy access to acquisition of properties in other parts of Nigeria?

Non Igbo acquire property in Igbo land too

if you have your money, and you meet a willing seller, the property is yours

it is ignorance of the facts on ground that gives us headaches in the country

With all the senseless comments I have read above,I can clearly see that our country is doomed!!! FFK for once wrote something very sensible!!!
Do you mind them? Funny enough, most of his critics are southerners.

What stops the three blocks in the south from teaming up with the middle belt to produce the next president if power must return to the north? Recent happenings have shown that the middle belt have more in common with us than those up north. So, why can't we take advantage of that to free Nigeria from these land grabbers, murderers, rapists and Jihadists?
