It was an amazing scene at the 7th edition of the famous and highly glamorous Ogwashi-Uku dance Carnival dubbed DELTA STATE CARNIVAL by entertainment watchers and Holiday makers who never seize to visit Ogwashi-Uku every December for the annual shindig . Although, it took Gods grace to successfully organise the 2017 carnival due to lack of Sponsorship from our usual supportive corporate organisations like the telecommunications giant MTN for example which has over the years supported this beautiful world class event, due to the harsh economic recession experienced but has however promised to support the event come 2018 edition

The 7th edition may have suffered corporate backing but the organiser's struggled through to put up one of the Best of the annual event which witnessed a tumultuous crowd of both Locals and Foreign holiday makers together with the presence of crème de la crème of Anioma region of Delta state who throne the venue to honour the Awards presented to them on the Carnival day in the full glare of the public . The Award section of the carnival is becoming a none stop part of the carnival as Deltans have embraced the unique Award which is open, fair selection and highly prestigious in honour of Awardees recognition for their various contributions to the development of their home communities and humanity alike

The journey and life span of the Carnival continues , as we all look forward to another giant strides in the 2018 edition , hopefully with a wider support form Corporate bodies for a better representation / partnership

Forever oh Lord, we thank thee for your support and helping hands to sustain this event which you ordained in the interest of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom, we thank you Father through Christ our Lord, Amen
