In my honest opinion, this is simple analysis:
1. The population of wise men is fewer compared to the foolish ones. Only a foolish man will knowingly take a 'bad girl' as his wife. Hence, the increase in the number of bad girls getting married, resulting in bad marriages.
2. The population of 'bad girls' is far greater than the 'good girls', therefore the chances of marrying a bad wife is higher (which can even be computed from basic probability calculation ) than marrying a good one.
3. 'bad girls' easily make themselves available.
