delivryboy: Chief Briggs is from Rivers state...while the people are from Akwa Ibom state... However, your comment makes plenty of sense. Really I don't understand Nigerians. Company sets up in your area...and the first thing you do is threaten violence unless you get to eat. So the company goes to set up in a place where no one will disturb them...and the youth ten years later will be complaining 'No jobs'. Ok now... 1 Like |

Imagine, this is a Nigerian company so why punish your people too? Madam moni pulo, do what is right. Protesters, this is good, do this to all the oil companies in your place that are not cooperating and also to the Ogas at the too who are secretly collecting money from them to impoverish the masses. Please do this regularly. There was tradition before Christianity which the pastors also runs to. |

Incase you don't understand the reason for the protest, the youth wants the company to sign a memorandum of understanding that they will employ their qualified indigenes along with their expatriates. These companies will start up and pretend that they paid royalties before coming in to the community therefore they owe the people no job by claiming they are unqualified and when they eventually employ they pay the indigenes 1/3 of what some other humans get. |
