These figures show something is really wrong with anti-graft campaign in Nigeria.

Transparency International (TI) has released all facts to defend its ratings and assertion that corruption is getting worse in Nigeria.
In a tweet thread, the global corruption watchdog explained that 9 sources were used to arrive at Nigeria's score of 27/100 in the Corruption Perception Index 2017. This score puts the country as the 148 most corruption of 180 countries surveyed across the globe (a 12 place drop from 2016 ranking).

All the sources rated Nigeria low in the year under review. This, thus, affected the final rating of the country in 2017 by TI.

These nine sources are World Bank, African Development Bank, The Economic Intelligence Unit of the Economist, World Economic Forum, World Justice Project, V-Dem Institute, the PRS Group, Bertelsmann Transformation index and Global Risk Insight.

However, the Nigerian government said 2017 CPI contracts obtainable facts as regards anti-corruption drive of the country. The report was summarily called a mere fiction and political distraction.

“Anybody who knows where Nigeria was coming from would not believe that corruption is worse under the Buhari administration.

“We wonder where they got their facts from. At a time, they are alleging increase in the incidence of corruption under this government, the whole of Africa is applauding by choosing President Buhari as the continental Champion to lead the fight against it. Nothing can be more eloquent than this.

“In the end, this whole episode may turn out to be just a political distraction, given the strong views some of TI’s patrons have expressed against the Buhari administration.

“This notwithstanding, facts are facts, and those facts won’t cease to be facts even if you don’t care to pay attention to them,” the statement said.

APC. .. A party of clowns.

A party that gave us integrity deficient sychophants like Lai mohammed, clueless and visionless touts like okorocha, perenniel ass lickers like yahaya bello, straight out of almajiri aregbesola, vile and devious el rufai; ... The list is endless

3years and APC has nothing to show except daily compounding the misery and hunger that they generously mete out to already impoverished masses. Both their supporters and enemies have been dealt with harsh whips. They have divided the fragile bonds of a fractious nation and seared our hearts with the vilest firm of tribalism and religious bigotry

I could remember buying property in both Lagos and the South South without bothering about my state. Now the chorus of intelligent people drives me to look homewards because the handwriting on the wall portends a more divided country in the future

APC is just a bandwagon for men who have decided to hold the future of this great nation in perpetual derisory and disrepute while enriching their pockets,

This is very unnecessary.
Nigerians and the world at large knows that what you cited earlier before I'd the truth.
For those defending this failure of a government,I think you people are the real enemies of the country.

I am sure obsanjo and oby are the ones heading all these organisations hence the poor rating

they cannot just let go the temptation of blaming something or someone else

when has APC every accepted responsibility for events

when they are rated well, they go berserk celebrating like monkeys released from cages

but when the rating is negative they vehemently refuse it

that's not the stuff leaders are made of

this APC is the worst thing to ever happen to this country

If corruption is getting worse, how come our foreign reserves are increasing everyday and massive infrastructural development is going on in all the regions despite low revenue. It doesn't make any sense, what about the over 500 billion naira bailout and and Paris club refund? In short, fvck TI and it wailing supporters

The type of mind boggling corruption under Buhari is legendary.
With all the money presently being earned from increased oil price, Nigerians have nothing to show as improvement in their lives.
Only Buhari and his close associates are looking fresh with the increase in oil price.

So you were not in Nigeria when Buhari gave bailouts to States, CBN announced that our foreign reserves stand at 42 billion dollars_up from just 23 billion in 2015, right now, I work for a construction firm handling one of the federal roads and we never had it so good in terms of release of funds since the project began ten years ago. I can go on and on so I do not need any international organization to tell me what's going on in my country, I am not saying corruption has been eliminated, but to say that it's getting worse is absolute trash

Corruption is high in this government. One reason 2019 is a do or die affair for them in power. They don't want to go to jail. Because l will surely jail them come May 29,2019.

PMB till he retires from presidency.

He is the best available man for the job. Forget social media and press propaganda of the enemies of Nigeria, fighting back to gain their place in the national treasury for their self aggrandizement. 2019 will soon dawn on them all

This government daft, nor be small!

Everyone knows that Nigeria is a synonym for Monumental and Systemic corruption, as a whole. It isn't limited to the APC government alone, though. Corruption is flexible and can manoeuvre the most , "air-tight" policy of prevention.

The worse thing to do is to challenge an international body of repute who operate on open facts!

It's a foolish PR move for the APC.
