It's simple....phones are not meant to have packs. That rubber pack around the phone conserves heat that is meant to dissipate and vanish. There by causing excessive heat retainment. Overtime the phone might explode as it builds up heat while charging.
Modified : Remove the phone from the pack and charge it, it will never blow even if you are receiving calls

According to the man identified as Ayariga Hassan, his Samsung Galaxy S5 got burnt while charging the smart phone five minutes after using it to receive call from a friend this morning.
