Prior to 2015 election, Buhari had been vying for presidency without success. Intact he was never thought as potential threat until he found his way into the favor book of gutter media which washed away his dullardism and replaced it with Messiah.
Expectedly, Mass media no doubt plays a vital role in influencing people's opinion when it comes to making political choice due to the believe that they are better informed about political reality owing to the information at their custody.
In the case of current Aso Rock tragedy, there is no defensive statements that can exonerate them from their ill-fate role during and after 2015 election because despite having information about buhari's record of abysmal leadership skill, they allowed themselves to be overwhelmed by thick brown envelopes there by setting public agendas that portrayed an expired candidate as having midas touch which in no small measure misled majority of uninformed Nigerians.
Again , even after the election when buhari was recruiting his agent of recession, despite his flagrant disregard for federal character which had and is serving as a glue to our polity, the Lagos Ibadan gutter media kept hailing it as promotion of meritocracy despite the fact that cluelessness of the majority of appointees is glaring.
What I am yet to decipher is the motivating factor behind the unpatriotic crusade of gutter media at that time and why they are yet to set public agenda on implications of disregard with which current misfits flouted the provisions of our constitution.
Finally, it cannot be said that what we are currently passing through is by accident because a regime that employed more media personnel that economic team has no plan on how to better the society in terms of socio-economical advancement.
