There has been a sad and disturbing twist to the kidnapping of the students of Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State as the Boko Haram sect has refused to release Liah Sharibu, the only Christian amongst the girls.

News broke this morning that the girls had been released in almost similar fashion as they were kidnapped early this year.

Reports revealed that 105 girls were returned by the sect while five of them were already dead.

The girls were kidnapped on February 19 as Boko Haram members stormed their school and carried them away, leaving the community in sorrow

They probably want to hold on to her because as a Christian they feel she potentially has more monetary value or they need to carry out further indoctrination in order to convert her. Either way we all pray for her quick release
