hy guys as said earlier, d last time I browsed with my glo sim is about 3months plus few days. thoo it's always available on my small phone.
I inserted it in my Android phone about 2hours ago but it's not bringing 3g or 2g. pls how does glo operate now, do I need to have an active data before 3g or 2g comes up? cos on mtn sim even if I don't have an active data plan, the 3g will still be there tho it won't browse.

This is a very good catch, I should think...only my device on 6.0 supports the options listed by the OP; those running 5.1 and under, don't. But further testing continues. Thanks for posting.

I upgraded my Android 5.1 device (which did not support the full range of network Bearers as posted by the OP) to Android 7.1.1 and ALL the Bands now show up...and active, and work.

This development, together with what I wrote in my above quote, is to me conclusive proof that, on the Android platform, the full network "Bearer" choices are supported ONLY on devices running Android OS 6.0 and newer.

Thread owner/@OP, you may want to include this info in your First Post, so as to save future readers the frustration of trying to make your otherwise very good method work on Android phones running OS'es older than 6.0 (Marshmallow.)

Thanks for the insight...I use an infinix hot note and I'm currently running on Android 5.0 Marshmallow, if I carry out an upgrade,will there be any consequences apart from rooted aspect? Also how many gig do I need for the upgrade?
