She's telling the truth! #mugu  Have you ever visited the South East in general and Anambra state in particular? Unlike our neighbors, the Hausas and the Yorubas, Ndi Igbo do NOT depend on the govt handouts. They make things happen for themselves. That's why less than 20 years after a devastating civil war that wiped out the entire Igboland, the old East Central state became the most advanced and the most developed part of Nigeria despite practically zero federal govt investments. I mentioned these markets..Hope u know Queenslima market? I am not saying it is largest.. At least Queenslima, Dugbe, Sango, Aleshinloye, markets have high numbers of igbo traders. Also, I said major shops and not just any how stores. If u care to find out, i will send u a private message, we would go on a tour of these markets with our camera phone and later upload here on nairaland? Agreed? It is a simple challenge bro. afroniger: comprehension is the major problem here.. I didnt compare ibadan with any south eastern state.. Ibadan is heaven on earth. We know that.. I only pointed out the hustling spirit of the easterners. stay on nairaland and be doing igbo vs yoruba thing.. Na yoruba guy linked me with a nice business..He was someone i met while traveling recently and we av been in good talk. He also learn some things from me. Westbestside:Lol, I even thought I was arguing with someone that is informed. Calabar was the capital at a period when development was yet to begin. That said, Abidjan was the capital of Cote d'Ivoire for donkey years just like Lagos was to Nigeria, before they moved their capital to Yamousukro yet Abidjan has remained both the economic, financial and commercial capital of Ivory Coast till today! Does it now mean that the natives of Abidjan are the ones that made it so? I have come to know that you guys are never rational in reasoning but always moved by sentiment and emotions. If Abidjan can be what it is on the strength of just a few million Ivorians, then I must tell you that yorubas as natives of Lagos are even drawing the city backwards when you acknowledge that Lagos serves a country of almost 200 million people yet it can't even compare with many other African cities like Nairobi, Jo'burg, Abidjan, Cairo etc. You guys continue to celebrate mediocres like Tinubu, Fashola, Ambidextrous and what have you, and I just laugh at such ignorance. These local champions you guys celebrate are just criminals that have fleeced Lagos, even if you put an idiot in Alausa, he will still do the little projects these guys are doing and still have enough to embezzle. In fact, I just went there to repair my laptop two days ago. My laptop was repaired by a Yoruba guy and even some Igbo shops in that area have Yoruba technicians. I know a lot of yorubas selling generators and computers in that area. Furthermore, queen cinema is not a market, but a mere expansion of Dugbe market. There are barely up to twenty stores in the whole of queen cinema area and Yorubas are ever present in that area In addition, I never said Ibadan is a village, I have lived in ibo land to understand how your villages are suited in the middle of towns to give that illustration. Those areas are older than some buildings in your villages and they are artifacts in the town.
