*OFFA BANK RAID, KILLINGS: A CALL FOR TOTAL INVESTIGATION*

We received with great shock news of gruesome attack and killings of innocent citizens in war- like during a bank raid by men of the under world in ancient Offa community yesterday.

Hence, the need to express our sincere heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims. We also sympathise with all victims who are in the hospital receiving treatment as we wish them quick recovery.

It must be brought to the attention of the government and all residents that the incessant killings in the nation range from Fulani herdsmen, Boko harram, kidnapping and armed bandit attacks is inhuman. It is quiet saddened that few set of people under the guise of 'unknown gunmen' keeps subjecting hundreds of family to total dehumanisation and hostage for selfish reasons. Such is the case witnessed yesterday where few set of lazy souls in attempt to get rich quickly killed scores of innocent souls. How do we justify these killings? It is totally unacceptable, condemnable and should be treated with urgency as a matter of necessity.

We call on the State and Federal government to stand firm in the defence of the oath they promised to uphold always. Life of citizens and individual properties should be paramount to the people in position of authority beyond window dressing.
