The Minister of Information Lai Mohammed has been sued by the The National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus for ₦1.5 billion.
According to Premium times, Uche Secondus is suing Lai Mohammed on the grounds of defamation for including him in the looter's list released by the Federal Government a week ago.
In a statement released by Secondus’ spokesperson, Ike Abonyi, Mohammed was asked to pay the sum of ₦1.5 billion for damages, and to retract the list and apologise to 5 dailies.

The statement reads:
"Having failed to meet the demand, Secondus on Friday April 6, 2018, made good his threat and filed a suit at the Port Harcourt, High Court, Rivers state claiming among other things that the court awards to him the sum of N1.5 billion being damages for humiliation, castigation, vilification attack on his person and integrity as a result of the publication.
