Hello, GURUS in HD satellite receivers! I hail o! Please can any one tell me which of the strong hd receivers has patch code function like 4669x and 4669z? Someone said strong hd 4940 does not work with patch code 6969. Is it true or not? Thank u. |

Im saying hi to all you guys out there,but i have a question arising from the fact that my Strong srt4930 just got hammered by Lightening so iam thinking of getting the Strong srt4940 but iam woundering if it allows card sharing.Has anyone out there tried it.  |

No special features, no software uppgrade. Its a plain HD rx built by strong just for mytv subscribers. My 3 cents though. Regards. |

I've used the other Strong receivers with no issue. I'm considering biting the bullet & moving one step beyond. I've read a lot of whitepapers but that's all they are - print. I want advise from guys who've tested either (or both) in the real world. Which would you recommend, 4922 or 4930 (with reasons)? Much appreciated |

Cleanman: i also just got myself a 4922hd and its been amazing function-wise,etc.tho i dnt knw abt the other.Like Cleanman I have knowledge only for 4930 and I don't know much about 4922. But my experience with this 4930 has shown that it's really a good machine. The frequent software upgrade releases makes it a better option too. Since most people are using it you would easily get assistance too if you get in trouble with it. Just my opinion though.  |

Y'all forget it 4930L is a machine  I blew my wife's mind away after she kept complaining of renewing DSTV.I instead looked thru d pages n decided to go 4 d 4930L due to d hihr rating.After connecting d hdmi cord to d 32' LED tv,it looked Just like a Cinema. Now she knows who's d boss. DSTV sweet RIP. But am using the DSTV dish(I fink they said dats 90cm,am looking at getting more stations,installer said I might b needing like 2.5-3.5m dish(wow dats big))lets see how it goes,I sure do hav gurus I can bug for guidance cos I dnt understand jack of all dos eutesalat n nilesat stuff,but I'd learn quickly. Saipro: Got the 4922 HD Not quite as beautiful: - poor (weak) inline amplifier - somewhat unstable tuner - excessively high volume boost - HDMI, yes. Lost component & RF (who uses RF anyway?) otherwise, still a beaut, even in looks. |
