Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Please, what is the 'other thing' they should not leave undone? Take note He made this statement shortly before going to the cross.

Jesus death on the cross put an end to animal sacrifices, ordinances and curses. But did not put an end to God's commandments. Why do you obey the ten commandments? We keep them not because they in themselves can save us, but because they are God's commandments and disobeying any of them even as a believer can take you to hell!. We are saved by grace through faith. What we couldn't achieve by keeping the commandments, Jesus did for us. But that didn't exempt us from responsibility.

You people are having head ache with this thing because you do not truly give the tithe to God. If you did, then it will not bother you what man does with it. You obeying the principle and commandments of God in faith brings the blessings.Let God handle this people. Remember what God did to Eli and his children for doing almost similar things.

People should be very careful how and what they say about these things. Sin is simply disobedience to God. Tithing was commanded in the Bible. It has never been abolished! If you disobey it then, isn't that sin?. Do not join others because it sounds true, feels cool and appears real.

Christian ministers in 2018 should be very careful not to test God. Any pastor threatening non-Jewish Christian believers (Gentiles) with the book of Malachi 3 is simply testing God's patience and should be wary of God's wrath... Kindly go and enlighten yourself with Acts 15:10 and repent

You guys are just making a fuss about TITHES,When in fact GOD REFERRED TO TITHES AND OFFERINGS.
For your info Tithing predates the Mosaic Law.What the bible enjoins is cheerfulness and not grudgingly or of a necessity.
I wonder the noise about this stuff.Those of us who read scriptures know itz scriptural.Christ as Melchizedek accepted, He spoke about it too in the new testament only that we should not ignore weightier matters of the Law.
Giving Tithes and Offerings doesn't qualify one for heaven but if God is blessing you,Honoring Him with your substance,money inclusive,is scriptural.
Finally, All Scriptures is given by inspiration and it's profitable for doctrine.... That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto ALL good works.
Just one question, what is wrong in giving to God?.

By the way, I wonder why people quote old testament and the law (Malachi 3:7-12) which man couldn't keep and for which Jesus became Christ, but they could not quote the law of love in the new testament which gave us all the rights and graces, and in the exemplary lives of early Christians (Acts 2:44-47, Acts 4:33-37).

We quote old testament because it's the Scripture. More so,Christ didn't abolish it.He only came to enlighten us and fulfill it.
Talking about Love,it could be vertical and horizontal. Love God and Love men. The new testament believers gave ALL even more than 10% so that no one amongst them lacked.Read Acts 2.
If we are Born Again all we have belongs to God.
As part of our Love and gratefulness to Him we honor Him with ALL our substance. True Christians don't just tithe but are willing to give back to God .God first ,others and ourselves last.We don't tithe because a Pastor sweet-talked us into doing it.We know it is right,it is our obligation so that there'll be MEAT in God's house.That's the least we can do because He first loved.
