What Is Your Definition Of A Pastor? by Omooba77: 1:05am On Apr 22, 2018
These days anyone that does one thing or the other in Church; most especially Pentecostal, is referred to as a Pastor.
Please, what is your Definition of a Pastor?

Pentecostal is an error.... no church is pentecostal unless they have been over 50years and above... the day the HOLYGHOST CAME in the book of ACTS has nothing to do with his arrival... it just happened to be on that day... if you notice.... THOSE WHO WERE CELEBRATING PENTECOST...ACTUALLY DID NOT RECEIVE HIM... THEY WERE NOT EVEN AWARE HE CAME... BECAUSE HE DIDNT COME FOR THEM.

now to your question....

A PASTOR IS ONE APPOINTED BY GOD TO SERVE THE PEOPLE AND NOT TO LORD IT OVER THEM BUT TO SERVE WITH THE SPIRITUAL GIFTS AND THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT HE HAS BEEN GIVEN FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST, TO NUTURE THEM AND RAISE THEM AS DISCIPLES FOR HIS SECOND COMING. HE IS TO BE ACCOUNTABLE AS A BISHOP OVER THE PEOPLE OVER HIM HE IS TO SHEPHERD AND NOT GIVEN TO WINE OR WOMEN OR MONEY This is a Lay man's definition

but here is what the bible says....

1 Timothy 3:2-13 TMT

Pastoral Leadership in the Church
If anyone wants to provide leadership in the church, its good! But there are preconditions: A leader must be well-thought-of, committed to his wife, cool and collected, accessible, and hospitable. He must know what he’s talking about, not be overfond of wine, not pushy but gentle, not thin-skinned, not money-hungry. He must handle his own affairs well, attentive to his own children and having their respect. For if someone is unable to handle his own affairs, how can he take care of God’s church? He must not be a new believer, lest the position go to his head and the Devil trip him up. Outsiders must think well of him, or else the Devil will figure out a way to lure him into his trap.

The same goes for those who want to be servants in the church: serious, not deceitful, not too free with the bottle, not in it for what they can get out of it. They must be reverent before the mystery of the faith, not using their position to try to run things. Let them prove themselves first. If they show they can do it, take them on. No exceptions are to be made for women—same qualifications: serious, dependable, not sharp-tongued, not overfond of wine. Servants in the church are to be committed to their spouses, attentive to their own children, and diligent in looking after their own affairs. Those who do this servant work will come to be highly respected, a real credit to this Jesus-faith.

if these do not answer your question then you really are not looking for answers but argument

A pastor won't ask people to sign an agreement to build a property on a piece of land that they will eventually forfeit if they leave the church.

That I'm sure of. That is FRAUD

Even when the rules are not fair to one party?
Oga go and sleep.
If you claim to be a church, should you place rules that only place you in advantage? So after spending millions on a structure, I should abandon it because it is a "rule"? Isn't that taking advantage of others, something Christ warned you against?
Would you do that to someone?

This your weak defense of your thieving church isn't convincing anyone.

Jesus Christ said they are thieves, all of them.
7 So Jesus said again, “I assure you, I am the gate for the sheep.
8 All those who came before me were thieves and robbers. The sheep did not listen to them.
9 I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved. They will be able to come in and go out. They will find everything they need.
10 A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came to give life—life that is full and good. - John 10 vs 7 - 10
