Dear Nigerian youths,

In as much as I find displeasure in President Buhari's derogatory speech against the Nigerian youths, I rather find more displeasure in you coming on FB and other social media platforms to abuse, mock and insult him.

You mustn't insult your president to express your disappointment & anger.

How are you able to call your president slowpoke, goat, idiot, cow and all of that...where did you get such profane temerity from?

Where are the good morales our parents taught us when we were much younger (formative years)? Have we totally lost such morales on the altar of anger?

And Why have we neglected that portion of the bible that instructs us to respect the elders especially those in authority? There should be a corresponding admonition in this regard in the Koran, i suppose.

Now think about it this way, if President Buhari were to be your biological father, would you come on Facebook to rubbish him under this same circumstance? Be sincere with your answer.

Yes, what he said is derrogatory, painful and provoking but as youths we can rise above this and place a lid on our emotions.... its not particularly easy, but its possible.

This is a wake up call to youths, please let's deal with issues in a diplomatic way without insults... so that it will be well with us.

Diplomacy starts with knowing your rights and going for your PVC... and when you have your PVC, lets show our leader that Youths are certainly NOT lazy - in a diplomatic way.

sense in thrash. What do you say of a leader who Abuses his people. Respect is a reciprocal. Those youths he called lazy are people's children too. So his children should take part of the blame cos there are among the youth and fed by tax payers Money
