mfm04622:If Oro has no time or can go for days, what does that mean to you? the fact that Islam and Christianity has stopped people from other state from worshiping their traditional god or religion doesn't mean we have to stop others who wants to do that. Why is it so hard to live and let others live for Muslims? 1 Like |

Yinkakatty: Don't say what you don't know! I have witnessed an announcement of Oro in Oshodi in those days when it was announced people should not bother to search for people that get missing in that period. They don't kill? No, they pray for those they catch. Why do you think people respect the rule if there is no consequence for breaking such curfew? |

mfm04622:boko haram. Jihad. That's not even the point, are you going to be happy if everyone starts clamouring for scrapping all Islam public holidays or should be forced to stop calling prayers due to noise pollution? Or stop building mosques in residential areas like we have in civilized societies. Or even stop hijab completely in federal schools. 2 Likes |

EarthXmetahuman: There are many gods worshipped in Yoruba land. They gain prominence and die with time. Each town has there own diety. The popular gods today are relatively new. Ogun, Sango, Egungun, Igunuko all came after Islam in Yoruba land. Fact. Not even after Islam was started ooo, after Islam got to Yoruba land 1 Like 1 Share |

Many didn't read the write-up before they started to vomit the rubbish they had inside of them. I do not have a residence in Ikorodu neither am I an Islam adherent but the MURIC are spot on regarding this awkward development. Lagos State must have lost a significant amount of revenue owing to this out-of-place and unconstitutional curfew. 2 Likes |

Jogunomi1:Was there a curfew for the whole day affecting only women or any other group of people when Buhari visited Lagos? Movement was only restricted for vehiclular movement and the route Buhari was expected to take. This is standard practice for all heads of state since independence. |
Re: MURIC Calls For Arrest, Prosecution Of Oro Priests In Ikorodu by EarthXmetahuman: 9:20am On May 11, 2018 |
wirinet:the curfew has no backing of police or the government so no one will attack anyone that wants to go out. Have you heard Oro people attack any woman before? Oro people won't attack any woman who decides to go out. The curfew is to prevent women from spiritual attack. If you don't believe in it, you can go out as you like. EarthXmetahuman: Let's take your point one after the other. Muslims are the main victims of Boko haram and other religious terrorist groups. Fact! These terrorist groups aim is not to stop other religions from practicing their religions but to "clean" and ensure Islam is practiced the way they believe it should be practiced. Do you know what Jihad mean? Jihad mean striving in the cause of Allah. Anything you do to help Islam is Jihad. Jihad does not mean war. In fact, it is forbidden to forcibly convert people to Islam. If you scrap all public holidays and not only Muslim ones, no problems. Don't Muslims live where there is no public holidays for Islamic festivals? If a mosque is disturbing you with noise, report them, especially if you live in Lagos. Where is the problem in exercising your right? So where are mosques built in civilized societies? Outside towns? In industrial areas? Lol!! Mosques are religious buildings and same rule that govern construction of churches. So check and you will see mosques in residential areas in "civilized" societies. 3 Likes 1 Share |

This has drawn the ire of many who feel that their will is being imposed on. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) also believes that the Oro priests should be arrested for restricting the movement of people. Every week some roads are closed when Muslims want to pray. Nigeria is a multi religious country. Should Muslims not be arrested also for restricting the movement of people? 2 Likes |
