I thought it would have been self explanatory that I gave examples of men that have children outside wedlock which people seem to be okay with, hence the term double standard. Besides, let's be truthful single mother status is experienced by people that have been married and even had the child in wedlock. The Chinese don't worship cows, simple. The Chinese and Indian is not the same person and their cultures are not the same simply because they're on the same continent.

The unwritten rules you refer to is the 'double standards' I'm talking about.
It's not logical, neither is it consistent. What should be happening is parental classes for men so that they can develop staying power when they father children as a PARENTAL responsibility.

Men do get away with having multiple kids outside marriage but they shouldn't if it's such a bad thing for the woman and child.

'Traditionally', marriage is set in motion by the man so in the current set up the man remedies the situation but often times (against so called tradition) refuses to and is then allowed to by the very people that always spout the word tradition everywhere. They just empower men to avoid what they should do. In times passed if a man got a woman pregnant, chances are he would be expected to marry her.

They are supposed to be the custodians of so called tradition but nowadays they simple use it to get away with their irresponsibility like the case of WizKid and co.

As far as the situation with unmarried father's being supposedly 'okay' and unmarried mother's being 'unacceptable' I know that it is, obviously.

I am saying we need to change it to include what it should be in a way that's consistent with what you say you want. You can't condemn unmarried mothers and celebrate unmarried fathers that help to create the situation in the first place. After all, you can't have one without the other. So if anything both should be condemned or both should be acceptable.

The main goal nowadays it seems is to deliver males what they want even if it clearly goes against what people claim as 'culture'. It doesn't hold up to scrutiny. If culture was enforced that a child automatically means you have to marry, trust me. Men would not father children other than with the woman they intend to make their wife.

Don't confuse a financially successful person with a role model. Trump is far richer than Obama, but when it comes to be a role model for decent living, pls don't compare the two.
We all hail Davido, Wizkid and other baby dadies for now, why? Cos their present cash covers up a multitude of immoralities. But when they grow old and their children become adults then you will see the real family squabbles come into play.
Till today, Abiolas family is divided to the core dues to different children from different women. Same as Ojukwu.. But these are successful and great men who made mistakes earlier in their lives. No matter what one talks about IBB, I respect the fact that he kept a woman to the end despite billions and ability to go on a marriage spree. Sometimes I wonder if there are two IBBs, IBB the model family man, and IBB the known Maradona.
