Which kind of doctor takes instructions from a pastor in n emergency. In civilized climes, this doctor would have lost his license. The doctor killed the patient not the pastor.

Hahahahahahaha.
You see what I'm talking about?

Was the doctor taking instructions from the pastor?
Did you read the article very well?

The patient's wife was the one making decisions concerning the treatment of her husband based on instructions she was receiving from the pastor.

Or you want the doctor to go against what the patient's wife is demanding so that if anything goes wrong, the doctor will still be blamed and then be sued??

You see?
You didn't bother reading the article.
And you're already blaming the doctor.

If the doctor goes against the decision of the wife to do what he knows is right for the patient and the patient doesn't make it, you will still come here and say the doctor should not have gone against the wife's decision and even call him a quack.

But he followed due process and actually treated according to the decisions the wife was making, yet you are still blaming the doctor.

What exactly is wrong with you Nigerians?

The patient was not conscious. The spouse needs to give the consent for treatment. That's how it still is in 9ja. In advanced climes where the government can take custody of a child from the parents, then a spouse will likely not have that ultimate say in the treatment of the patient. The courts will have even stepped in the moment the patient is being denied proper treatment and the spouse and pastor will later get arrested and prosecuted for reckless endangerment and conspiracy to kill.

By the way what's your business bringing situations that happened in your organisation to social media?

And this is a medical professional delivering blow by blow account of a patients misery as if it was a football commentary.

Shame.

Any pictures? If yes, do the pictures show the patient's face? Can you get the patient's identity from the information given by the poster? Now those are what you look for before you make your accusations.

The story could as well be seen as a work of fiction, a good representative of real life scenario.

Nothing to do with illiteracy. In Nigeria, religion is number one. You have got to give it to Nigerian pastors. They can hypnotize anyone, no matter your level of education. There are countless Professors and Drs in higher instutions that have also been hypnotized.

It boils down to unenlightenment. Many 'academics' cannot defend their degrees.

Once the patient presents with vital signs of a stroke attack, CT scan can be done after the patient is thrombolysed.

That 3 - 4. 5 hour window is very important.........

So you thombolyse before determining if it's a hemorrhagic or ischaemic stroke?

There is also something called emergency. You can also just treat a patient to improve your skills or learning for the workaholics. It is your job to save lives and you don't always need a consent to do your job. You don't even need it

No blame the doctor if he died in his hospital. He doesn't qualify for that profession. He could have been comprised by politicians. In short he is an agent of the matrix.

Bro, CT scan is routine investigation over here. Failure to include it can earn you serious trouble. In 9ja, CT scan is a luxury. Health insurance is still at its infancy and the routine investigations are limited to blood works in this case of stroke. Most Nigerian public hospitals do not have CT scan or they have a non-functioning one. So based on clinical acumen, you thrombolyse first, complete resuscitation, then do CT. Mind you, they may need to travel hundreds of kilometres to get the procedure done.

Blame not the helpless doctors and the patients but our leaders.

You could even travel miles to a facility with the right equipments, but no light to power all equipments......

They could have lost that vital window, in the process of gallavanting. The patient life is lost.....

This woman should be arrested by her late husband's family. Rubbish!
If it were the pastor's spouse now, nobody may even know he/she is a pastor till the sick spouse has been attended to by the doctors. Now this woman come carry pastor for head, waste her husband's life.

Similar thing would have happened to my dad back 2008 if not that he knew what was right for himself.
I called my pastor to pray for him when he was sick after prayer He told my dad to dicard all his drugs as evidence of faith my dad said no that the drugs has been sustaining him b4 the pastor came.
Believe me friends that this same pastor had an accident n spent 4 months in hospital.

The pastor should be arrested and charged with manslaughter. For it is only when we start holding these illiterate and self-proclaimed pastors accountable for taking advantage of the weak and helpless that this type of insanity and backwardness will stop.

LET US NOT FORGET THAT WHITE PEOPLE BROUGHT CHRISTIANITY TO AFRICA, WHICH MEANS THERE WAS A TIME WE DIDN'T HAVE PASTORS AND CHURCHES. SO, WHY SHOULD WE ALLOW THIS RELIGION TO HOLD US HOSTAGE, IN A MANNER THAT MAKES US DUMB AND DEFY EMPIRICAL SCIENCE AND TESTED TECHNOLOGY?

Religion is making us dumb. It is time we stop this wilfull idiocy!

Religion is not the solution to anyone's problem. Religion is the problem. Why would some all powerful being create creatures capable of reason and then demand that they act in a manner contrary to their creation? Perhaps the whole root of our trouble, the human trouble, is that we will sacrifice all the beauty of our lives, will imprison ourselves in totems, taboos, crosses, blood sacrifices, steeples, mosques, races, armies, flags, nation, in order to deny the fact of death, which is the only fact we have.

it is possible for faith and reason to walk together

You need to visit civilized climes to clear off your ignorance.

You mr advanced climes should know that DNR is different from taking orders from a pastor or his wife. This was an emergency for God's sake and this doctor was chatting with a pastor. Your doctor friend should just thank God he is in Nigeria where bufoons reign
