Imo Trumpeta is a newspaper owned by the Imo State government and is used as a propaganda newspaper. The Sit at Home was a success across South East, Igbo parts of Delta State and Rivers State.

The sit at home threat issued by members of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) was carried out successfully in different parts of the South East on Wednesday 30th of May, 2018.

Our reporter who rolved round strategic places observed that while it recorded a huge success in Aba and Onitsha, that of Owerri, Imo State capital recorded partial participation, as residents of Owerri refused to observe the sit at home and went on with their usual business activities without fear or molestation from anybody.

The report from Owerri revealed that many people actually ignored the sit at home order and went for their businesses. Though, Mbaise Area respected the MASSOB order but used the period to visit their farms, hold meetings and clean their environment.
The law enforcement agents were stationed at Ahiara junction and strategic places to monitor MASSOB people and arrest any of them going against the law but as at the time of filing this report no arrest was made. Some of the MASSOB members who spoke to our reporter said the sit at home was carried as a sign of demonstrate against the injustice meted on the South East people by Nigerian government.

Igbo haters and bigots are a funny lot!

They despise Igbos; mistrust Igbos; are suspicious of Igbos; don't want an Igbo president; want less investments coming to Alaigbo than they get out of sheer hatred and jealousy...yet are secretly praying that the sit-at-home directive flops! A directive that could help hasten our exit from 'One Nigeria' so these hateful beings can have the country to themselves, yet they go out of their way to sabotage and deride it!

Why would you want to continue sharing the same country with a people you despise if you're not mad?
