We are just different!

I've never seen people from other W/African countries booing those Africans in the French Team.

However, Nigeria fans booed him because they see him as a good player, who should have been part of the team. They've got every patriotic right to do so! After all we're Nigerians, different from every other 'species'.

And if the Russians boo our players for being black?

Who decides when it is malicious and when it is not?
booing is not racist comments. the football governing body has no penalty for booing. it only left for the player to have a strong mentality to handle maturely. booing is part of the game

Throwback:
Dele is being booed by Nigerians because of his own attitude to his family, his English mother and his Nigerian father and his English half siblings. That he played for England is even a secondary factor.

He chose to cut away from his family and removed the Alli name from his jerseys to retain only Dele, with the excuse that he feels no connection to his family, not just his Nigerian dad.

This is a dude that got all the best of care from his father who wasn't always present, but was always supportive, and even brought him to live with him in Nigeria and the USA before he returned to the UK at age 11 on his own demand. He was even the best man of his father when he remarried in the USA when Dele was 10yrs old.

He also left his mother's home in UK some years later on the need to focus on a teenage football career far from home.

At no time was he ever prevented as a kid from pursuing the football career that has made him who he is now. Every time he felt the need to move as a kid, they let him reach for his dreams.

Even the dad has claimed that he bought him his 1st car as legal teenager. Yet he got into Tottenham and suddenly did not want to see or hear from any of his parents or English half siblings just like that, concluding his detachment by removing the family name from his jersey.

Dele is a confused dude who is ashamed of his whole family for reasons best known to him. His mother's alcoholism is no different from what is an already known epidemic among most lower class single mothers.

All of these stories are well known by Nigerians in the UK, hence the disgust.
I believe he's more angry at his mum and to even think the woman is suffering. News have it that his friend's family whom he stayed with turned him against his own family because of financial gains.

I think what throwback has written about Dele summed up the reason for been booed by the fan. Dele is very arrogant and obstinate .If he has not step into nigerian shore is another things. He deserves what he got. End of the story. As for the game ,Nigeria did very well.

He is being boed for being Dele Alli and not for any other reason. He could be black white half or quarter of anything the not is foolish and has no morals. Wasn't long ago he was caught getting head off on camera.
mr holiest congrats o, truth be told the only reason why he was being booed is because they feel he his good and he should play for Nigeria but he did not, many footballers has done worse compared to whatever you might have to say concerning his moral and family yet they're not being booed we dont need to start deceiving ourselves tha the reason is because of his family because we all know it's not , the guy owes Nigeria nothing and he is free to do whatever makes him the way they are talking as if they are ones that gave birth to him

Mumu OP - next time before you create a topic. Pause, think and ask yourself this basic question: Is this post sensible or senseless?
Congratulations! You have created the most senseless post of the month.

Leave the mumu OP. He is one of those that will do everything to be more righteous than his white slave masters. What a monumental disgrace.

Shithole? You must be mistaking 9ja for your vagina.
That vagina part though.
Nigerians have a problem though. What concerns booing a player with how in other countries they have moved on and we're backward. Thunder strike his name. I would have even be disappointed in the fans at Wembley Stadium if they didn't boo that pompous prick.

Some Nigerians need to grow up...

Bamidele Alli is English and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

If Nigeria was so sweet, why is President Buhari always running to the UK to chill and have some fun.

Abeg make una free the guy joor..

No one says he can't live wherever he wants. Living in a country and choosing to represent it are two very different things. Athletes live anywhere in the world and still represent a country they hardly visit. For decades there've been Nigerians who don't live or have nuclear family back home who take it as pride to rep the country.

I don't have a problem with him choosing England. It's obvious he feels no affinity for his absentee father nor his drunkard mother, but simply chose where he's been the longest and is employed. But don't use the excuse that because he doesn't live in Naija is reason for his choice. Also he could be secretly gay and hate Nigeria and Muslims (Alli) disapproval of that lifestyle. A few footballers are homosexuals. E.g. C.Ronaldo. Sorry. undecided

I'm not surprised he's mad at the mom but he still chose England where the mother is from. Does that mean he hates the father more? It makes no sense the rationale for his pick. Also, no one has to turn you against anyone if you've spent a lot of time around that person. It's your negative experience that will do the turning away. It takes a lot for a child to turn from a parent so I totally respect he has legitimate deepseated reasons for that.
