The fact is that apart from parental upbringing, we also form our preferences, choices, ambitions, ways & the likes, so my argument is that they were of age - over 20yrs I suppose.

Truth is parents form their children's conscience so that they will be guided in their choices in future.

I'm aware that some kids are mostly influenced by bad peers in school, but still, the parents' influence should be greater.
