I was surprised that our team could wrestle the midfield with Croatia.



This current team have the same problem with all our past teams..... We don't know how to defend nor make use of set pieces and it kills us all the time.

Iwobi was also played way way out of position and there was not a number 8 to link the midfield with our forwards particularly to Ighalo.

.....and then there is also a lack of experience. The manner in which we lost the match is quite painful. The World Cup is for veterans and not rookies.

Our best player on the field for me tonight was Etebo. He held and played fantastically well in the midfield.

If Nigeria qualify for next round, it wouldn't surprise me. I didn't actually think Nigeria would beat Croatia, teams like these are our boggy. We'll probably defeat them next time now that we have gotten them out of our system and able to access more realistically. Argentina and Iceland will not have it easy against Nigeria.
