The fact that we lost the last three friendly matches should give you a cause for worry. I might sound unpatriotic but I'm not confident with the crop of players that made up this team, and I fear there would be a repeat of the 2014 incident. If we couldn't beat an average English team, is it Argentina or Croatia we'll beat.

Senegal's first world cup appearance saw them through the quarter finals; same with South Korea, those ones reached semi finals - that's an achievement.

And we've featured in the world cup how many times? 10? 11? Yet we've never made it pass knockout stage before.

Other teams can have their jamborees and show off, maybe they're confident. I can't say the same about Super Eagles.
