greatcrown: It's obvious many people are not looking deep into this government move. I don't know why government want to be involved in 'running' transport business when it's otherwise world-over. Growing up in this city, we had LSTC in the late 80s/early 90s. It's now defunct because maintenance was 0! BRT/LAGBUS is going the same route now. Why won't the government involve private participation by giving the busses to small businesses. Then they play the role of regulator (which is popular position govt agencies play in the Western world we're coping). irokop: You got the drill bro! willibounce1: I hope it will be opened o! Imagine 5000units of vehicles from Brazil? $30billion fund! Common, is hightime we start checkmating this LSG o... |

5000 Marco buses at 150Million naira each is 750 billion naira. We have not even added the cost of wear and tear on roads associated with these. Repair costs and other miscellaneous. That's 1 trillion naira. That would construct 5 new world class rail lines that would criss cross the length and breadth of Lagos but alas we have fools as administrators. Except if the number is just bogus, there's no way someone with his head screwed in right would think this is the right way to go for public transportation. 5000 buses? |

GavelSlam: There are many jobless people that will drive ambode's buses. If you had a bus you were driving for comercial use and making your own money at your own convenience and rules, will you abandon your bus and go drive ambode's bus to earn 50k per month when you make over 100k with your personal bus per month? |
