Dangote's Deep-sea Pipeline project exposes the Lagos crude oil fraud by TylerDurden: 3:58pm On Jun 17, 2018
Dangote is building the world's largest refinery in Lagos. Lagos was chosen by Dangote after it was revealed that crude oil deposits had been discovered in Lagos. Why then is Dangote constructing a deep-sea pipeline that will link crude and LNG from the ND to his refinery in Lagos?
The honest truth is that Lagos has no crude oil. The only reason they gave Lagos that fake status is so that Dangote can site his refinery there will sourcing crude from the ND.

Even operation Crocodile Smile which saw parts of Lagos and Ogun being bombed was part of paving the way for Dangote's pipeline. But the useless Afonjas cheered the Hausa-Fulani bombardment of their communities and peoples.

The only reason Dangote is building a refinery in Lagos is because he hopes to build another pipeline linking Lagos to as far away as Cote'dvoire and he is hoping on getting subsidies from the FG in lifting crude from the Niger Delta.

The Deep-sea pipeline project is to boycott the troubled areas of Warri in Delta, Ondo and Ogun states that have seen pipeline vandalization in the past.

By opting for a deep sea pipeline, Dangote is hoping to secure crude supply to his refinery for onward shipment across west Africa.

Also, in the event of Nigeria's balkanization, Dangote hopes to secure his refinery as he knows the North will not relinquish the SW.

This is Operation Araba part 2!

Lies to deceive the gullible.

Dangote's deep sea pipeline is to convey GAS and not a single drop of crude oil from the Niger Delta.

https://guardian.ng/business-services/dangote-deep-sea-pipeline-to-boost-nigerias-power-generation-by-12000mw/

Furthermore, this GAS will be used for power generation which will be fed into the NATIONAL grid, and not Arewa/Oodua grid.

No need to be paranoid cheesy

Gas to where?

Believe that sh!t all you want.

The 650,000bpd refinery needs a secure pipeline! The land route can easily be sabotaged and that is why Dangote is building a deep-sea route.

You really think Dangote will sink his billions into a venture without a comprehensive feasibility study? Lol.

In the same vein, you expect that the bankers that facilitated the syndicated loans did not do their financial projection and cash flow analysis before guaranteeing those billions of dollars in credit?

Lol, the entire premise of the thread is built on falsehood so I don't blame you.

Not a drop of crude oil will be conveyed through Dangote's sub-sea pipelines from the ND. Take that to the bank and deposit.

Dangote is building a 650,000 bpd refinery and you think he won't want to secure crude supplies?

When did Dangote even get a licence to build a power plant?

"The Dangote Group’s sub-sea pipeline infrastructure is expected to augment the natural domestic gas supply and add an estimated 12,000 Mega Watts (MW) to Nigeria’s power generation capacity.

The subsea pipelines are expected to create a corridor for evacuation of trapped from offshore platforms in Nigeria to allow their monetization."

Most of the associated gases produced offshore in Nigeria are currently being re-injected or flared. Hence the Dangote strategy is to serve as a transporter only transporter and processor, or buyer for producers of the gases..

https://guardian.ng/business-services/dangote-deep-sea-pipeline-to-boost-nigerias-power-generation-by-12000mw/

For your information Dangote had already declared years ago from inception that his crude oil will be locally sourced and the shortfall imported.

He emphasized that he will NOT be sourcing oil from the ND so I wonder what you're complaining about.

The only subsea pipeline Dangote is constructing from the Niger Delta is for GAS and not crude oil.

Exactly!

This is where the fraud begins.

By first claiming Lagos to be Oil producing state without any single evidence to that, Dangote could site his refinery while stealing crude from far away from ND.

He also hopes to use Lagos as a trans-shipment hub for Niger Delta LNG by connecting a pipeline in future that will go all the way to Senegal!

That is the man's plan and they are using fake Lagos crude oil to justify this.

According to Mr. Devakumar Edwin, Group Executive Director, Strategy, Portfolio Development and Capital Projects - DANGOTE REFINERY & PETROCHEMICAL PLANT:

Edwin said before the commencement of construction of the project a lot of risk analyses was conducted.

"The original thought was that we had everything we needed in Nigeria, i.e. the crude oil. When we started analysis, we realised that it was highly risky to place all our eggs in one basket, by relying only on Nigerian crude.

So, we decided to expand the capability of the refinery to handle oil from different sources. Today, the Dangote Refinery can process a wide range of crudes, such as all the African crudes including that of Algeria, Libya, Angola, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, etc., the U.S. crudes, Arab Light, etc.

Since we are not dependent on Nigerian crude, we are not prone to the risk of the Niger Delta disturbance. We do not use pipelines; rather, we use ships.

We use Single Point Mooring Buoys (SPMs) for offloading the crude and loading the products," he said.

Operation Crocodile Smile was meant to secure the oil infrastructure from vandals and was launched for the Niger Delta region.

The operation will later be extended to parts of the SW (Ogun, Ondo and Lagos) to address pipeline vandalization.

During GEJ, gas pipelines were routinely sabotaged by agents working for the APC in order to rubbish the power generation feat.

This is why Gani Adams was awarded a pipeline protection project in Yoruba land and Tompolo for the Warri corridor.

You see, afonjas like you do not even know your left from your right.

In one post above, you said that the refinery will source crude locally.

Now am asking how many barrels of crude is Lagos currently producing and can it meet up to even half of Dangote's refining capacity of 650,000bpd?

Now another thing you may want to know, is that Dangote refinery is being financed from bank loans and investment portfolios.

Do you expect the project manager of this refinery to tell the world they will be sourcing crude primarily from the ND though the highly unsecured pipelines?

The reason Dangote has unveiled this pipeline project is to secure an alternative route for crude supplies.

Instead of them to think of how they can also build their own pipelines and refineries, they are threatening to destroy what their ancestors have never built or dreamt of building...an under-sea gas pipeline to serve the world's largest single train refinery and petrochemical plant, simply because it is owned by an "Aboki".

Shame on you.

Nobody is against Dangote building a refinery of his any where he likes.

He can even site it in Sambisa forest for all I care but what I will not accept is for that same refinery to be supplied with crude from the ND.

Read to understand and not to argue.

During their risk analyses, they discovered the existence of touts with your destructive and violent mindset and adjusted accordingly.

The refinery was never designed to rely on supply of Nigerian crude.

The only existing oil production platform is the OML-113 or Aje field with a reported daily production output of 3,500bpd.

This is just 0.5% of the 650,000 bpd that the Dangote refinery will require to operate at maximum capacity!

Do you know what a shortfall means? If you did you wouldn't be asking me such a silly question. A smaller amount of the crude oil will be sourced from Lagos (which is what I meant by locally sourced) while the bulk of the crude oil supply will be sourced from other countries, which is exactly how the refinery was designed to operate.

P.S It makes a lot of sense to stop importation of refined fuel (by Gov't thereby losing forex) and instead let a private individual import crude oil with his own money and then export the refined product (thereby gaining forex and boosting the Naira).

Some of these things might be too complex for a bomber or militant to assimilate so I understand.
