Basking in the euphoria of the victory of his candidate during the All Progressives Congress (APC) convention, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and the Chairman Progressive Governors’ Forum, has said he has forgiven all those who challenged his leadership of the party in the state.

The governor also congratulated Barrister Emma Ibediro, an indigene of the state for his election as the new national organizing secretary of the party. He equally shared the joy of the victory with all those who emerged at the party’s national convention.
Ibediro, who was the governor’s candidate, defeated Osita Izunaso, the outgoing national organising secretary of the party who, along with some party members had formed the ‘Allied Forces’ to wrest power from Okorocha.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, Okorocha also expressed optimism that with Comrade Oshiomhole working with the new set of National Working Committee (NWC) members of the party, Nigerians would see a more vibrant and result-oriented leadership of the party.

The governor, however, stated that he had forgiven Izunaso, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume and all those he said he built politically but ganged up in the name of coalition to insult him. He said all hands must now be on deck to achieve victory for the APC in Imo and entire South East.
