If you do not regulate yourself, you will be regulated

Too many clowns have abused social media.

For political ends,
For quick money.
For click bait,

Look at the nonsense stories floated after the suicide on 3rd mainland bridge as a simple example.

Nigerians have proven to be grossly irresponsible. If you don't want social media laws, then behave with decorum

Oga don't be deceived. The regulations of the social media is an attempt to legitimize only lies peddled by people like Lie Mohammed and his BMC zombies online and shut out the only means through which the common man can communicate without paying millions to govt-regulated newspapers and TV stations. It will be resisted.

Buhari and his namesake in the senate wants to turn the country into north Korea using 'fake news' as an excuse. It will not work.

The social media is the only instrument of checking their excesses and they want to take it away from the average citizen. Fake news can only be countered with truisms online which many governments now do. Not by replacing anti-FG news with lie mohammed and his BMCs' lies.

I'm never in support of shutting citizens out of the media, I was talking bout the incessant lies bloggers post on a regular basis.

Not necessarily about politics alone. Different fake entertainment, sports and political news are been debunked everyday.

A perfect example is that of the picture of a woman that was reported to have committed suicide on 3rd mainland bridge which was later discovered to be pure lies.

Bloggers need to be cautioned before this country is thrown into war.
