bigtt76: Please stop spreading falsehood. I have a relative British born, never been to Nigeria till 2013. She liked it here, was told she must serve. Was a lawyer with a masters degree, 24 years old. She later came and served in Lagos. That girl was so bold. Speaks British accent, could enter any office. I myself with a British degree, got my exemption, and it took me 5years because my waec original was misplaced by my secondary school. I even went to waec headquarters in Lagos. As God will have it, my school later recovered the original. So I applied for exemption, then it was online, I submitted all my credentials. My degree date on my certificate I was some months past 30 years, so the system told me to come and collect my exemption 2 weeks time. I have my exemption with my picture on the certificate. And I know what it took me to get it |

I'm not spreading falsehood dear, I trying to gain more knowledge about this issue. Your British born relative, was she compelled by law to come and serve (NYSC) in Nigeria? Or on her own decided to serve? How old were you when you graduated? I assume 25 years because you said it took you 5 years to get the exemption certificate due to one issue or the other. During that wait period, did you apply for it or you waited till all conditions were met before doing that? Were you also compelled to go and serve when they discovered you graduated earlier than 30 years old? Your case seem similar to Kemi's own Please I would love to hear from you. djon78: |
