It is simply used to ensure 2 or 3 magazines housing their ammunition does not fall off and technically done to ensure easy swap when one magazine is exhausted. And not only the police does that . It's a trend in Africa because gear that can bear multiple magazines aren't allocated. So bros it has nothing to do specifically with the Nigerian Police . It's just a smart improvision
