Ekiti state governorship election has gone, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Kayode Fayemi the winner celebrating his victory while his opponent Kolapo Olusola Eleka of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) crying ''daylight fraud'' for his lost.

PDP chieftains that were instrumental to the famous 2014 16-0 victory over Fayemi lost their local governments to APC.

The incumbent Governor, Ayodele Fayose lost his Irepodu Local Governmemnt area to APC.

APC polled 13, 869 in Irepodun/Ifelodun, which is also the local government of origin of the first elected governor of Ekiti State, Chief Adeniyi Adebayo. PDP scored 11,456.
