Following Tuesday's defection where 14 senators elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) dumped the party, there has been controversy over which party now has majority in the Senate. While the APC claims it still has the majority, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) said it is now in majority.
