ORJI KALU did well among all of them

Abeg no list Orji Kalu amongst them. That guy is the reason Abia State is the way it is today. As he refused to develop the State, all his prodecessors have followed suit.

Chimarokes 8 year rule of Enugu state was like 8 years of pure Hell.

Chimaroke was just a Medical Doctor practicing in the USA when he returned to Enugu state to run for senator under PDP. The then God father of Enugu politics, Chief Jim Nwobodo, hand picked him to become Enugu state Governor on the argument that his zone should produce the next Governor. Soon after Chimaroke became Governor, he fell out with Jim and what happend next was that both men nearly tore the state apart trying seize the political machinery of the state. Chimaroke formed what was then known as the "Ebeano" group that comprised of well known thugs, cultists and criminals. He armed them, appointed them to top political positions and unleashed them on anyone who he perceived as a threat. Chimaroke made enemies with everyone including the Catholic Church, traditional rulers, past governors of Enugu such as CC Onoh and Nwobodo, Enugu state legislature and even his wife whom he chased back to America. The elections that gave him he second term was a hogwash.

Chimaroke had the highest results ever seen in Nigeria getting over 1 million votes while his closest rival, Ugochukwu Agballah got just 17,000 votes. The election tribunal that sat to look into election matters were chased out of the state. The Enugu state house of assembly were also chased out of the state and sat in Abuja for the remainder of Chimarokes rule. Chimaroke then relocated institutions such as the Law School, Enugu state university and the teaching hospital to his home town of Agbani.

If it wasn't for the fact that Chimaroke was a Medical Doctor, it would be hard not to believe he wasn't just a common street thug.

It was 8 years of brigandage, terrorism and misrule.
