There has been several reported reasons why The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has frankly denied The Federal Government of their proposed hiking of school fees of university students as subjected by the chief government negotiator in the ASUU/Federal Government renegotiation exercise Dr Wale Babalakin. Here goes the vital reasons behind the scenario.

They shouldn't have rejected it in the first place. 500k is not that too much. Truly, most Nigerians are poor.

And they want to eradict poverty in the country. With 500k the poor masses can't send their children to school and increase in illitracy equals more crime.
