Who are these ignorants always yarning about assembling.?

Nigeria is a Third World country for Christ sakes. Your forefathers did not leave any technology behind for innovation to be made.

The current generation have to start from scratch like China did, and then import less and less as industrial base grows.

Anyway, the future of igboland is bright.
An igbo only country would have a very strong currency due to a lot of home grown solutions springing up everyday and with the political will to enforce its utilisation.

It is just a shame we may never see it.

Wow, they're beautiful. They're by far better than the ones we have currently plying our roads. By the time we have youths at the helm of affairs in this country, you'll see wonders.

Nigerian Government made a costly mistake for not exploiting the Igbos potentials. By now Nigeria would have been competing with China technology wise.

Was Nigeria ever great
We just have to hope for the best and be positive. Immediately after independence, she had great potentials before greed, tribalism and others crippled her.

Every state of this country is banning Keke and somebody somewhere is investing heavily on mass production of same Keke Napep in same country.

You are right, but in this case Most of these companies who Publicly Parade themselves as car Manufacturers in Nigeria don't actually Produce Anything including the Furniture.

These whole charade began since the Chinese Industrial Revolution.

Even Innoson Vehicles do import those cars he sells as Completely Knocked Down Vehicles (CKD) just to enjoy Zero Tariff on Import Duty.

no. Innoson fabricates. if you have gone to the factory u will understand the difference btw it and PAN kaduna, the whole body and chasis are fabricated there, the plastics parts as well as dash boards are produced at his Enugu plastic company, while he also produces the break system. Another company at Nnewi prodice the interior funiture. another the electrical. that why the company was able to produce break system for d Nigerian Air Force

This may be false, I remember seeing this same picture on my LinkedIn feed months ago, and the guy said he had imported them. Please confirm your source(s).

Unfortunately for tribalists the importer is a Yoruba Nigerian Olumide Peter Adesina and the tricycles are motoshine tricycles imported by trinity temple ltd.

autojosh:
Commercial tricycles more popularly referred to in Nigeria as Keke NAPEP, have become a major means of commute in Nigeria.

Across most cities in Nigeria, conspicuous sights of Keke NAPEP abound.

They are typically used to cover short distances as opposed to bigger commercial buses that can travel further.

Indeed, Keke NAPEP don’t come cheap.

To own one, you would have to cough out a sizable amount. Their prices range from between N500, oo0 to N650, 000

Few commercial drivers can afford them. Some drivers, in order to own one, work for it on hire purchase – a system where they ride one for a given period of time, pay the owner, and then they are handed possession of the tricycle.

Perhaps, the high cost of acquiring a Keke NAPEP is tied to the fact that they are predominately imported from India and other Asian countries.

This is one reason why we ought to look inward.

In recent times,  we have come  to behold tricycles manufactured in Nigeria. Some of them come with some interesting innovations. For instance, some come fitted with doors – unlike the imported variants. Some come with electric fan and good ventilation. Some are made to take three to six passengers at a time. A particular one is powered by electricity – yes, our very own Tesla!

Indeed, these could all be classed as the luxury version of the Keke NAPEP.

So, why are we not investing in or patronizing our locally-made tricycles?

Great job but to satisfy my curiosity, is it made in Nigeria as in 100% made in Nigeria (every single part locally fabricated) or assembled in Nigeria (by way of importing CKD-complete knock down)? If 100% made in Nigeria, then a BIG congratulations and if assembled, then keep it up, there is always a starting point. Nigeria will definitely be great again.
