Atiku’s Policy Document: Privatise NNPC , Raise GDP To $900bn, Cut Taxes… by martin123: 9:52am On Nov 18, 2018
Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has plans to embark on partial privatisation of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), TheCable can report.

The former vice-president also plans to sell all four national refineries, and cut corporate income tax to be the lowest in Africa.

According to the Atiku Abubakar policy document seen by TheCable, the 71-year-old plans to create three million jobs per year.

The policy document was put together with a major delivery timeline of 2019 to 2025.

Other items on Atiku’s plan include, building 5,000 kilometres of roads, and 5,000 kilometres of modern railway.

The plan is built on four cardinal points: jobs, infrastructure, poverty eradication, and human capital development.

The Atiku policy document also seeks to “improve spending efficiency of the federal government and drastically reduce the share of recurrent revenue in the budget from 70% to 35% by 2025”.

According wthe document, Atiku also seeks to implement the petroleum industry bill, ensure Nigeria refines over one million barrels of oil per day, and generate 20,000 megawatts of power by 2025.

this sounds very logical...when you see a man who knows his onions you will not find it difficult to understand him.... Atiku is telling us exactly what he WANTS TO DO, HOW HE WANTS IT TO BE DONE AND WHEN HE WILL GET IT DONE WITH ...he answers the 3 cardinal question of "How, When and Where... Its. It a PROPAGANDA but PROPER AGENDA

What's the proposal for job creation
Restructuring is nowhere to be found after prof burst the empty restructuring mantra.
I think we need buhari to continue. The entrepreneural drive of this administration is worth it.
Most guys now have corporate accounts as a result of cheap and easy CAC registration. Easier to access loans and consular services (if you know)
Kudos to pmb, his investment in security worked hence it's not in Atiku's agenda.

What's more paradise than buying oil and gas assets at ridiculous prices?

This is what we call realistic achievable targets. Not we'll tar all the roads, revitalize railway, boost agriculture, provide 24/7 power, and similar empty, reckless promises.

These are concrete milestones with specific timelines that we can certainly achieve when there's the political will.

Atiku please stop justifying that stupid statement that you want to sell NNPC. Selling NNPC is synonymous to selling Nigeria.

This clueless thief wanted to kill Buhari with noise because of his plans to sell some national assets to fund the 2019 budget.
Now, the looter wants to sell NNPC to himself like he did when he was the vice President.

Posterity will never be kind to sane and patriotic Nigerians if they allow Ali baba Atiku and his band of looters near the seat of power again.

No serious nation would allow a world renowned thief like Atiku who was used by an ivy league school as a case study for international corruption to be a councillor let alone her president.

I spit on Atiku's ascitic abdomen grin grin

Frankly is not just saying it,planning it or documenting it!

It is more about how he will push it to actualization, because Nigerians are difficult people to manage particularly the political office holders and civil servants. You may come with a good plan but how will you make atleast 80% Nigerians reason with you, work with you and patiently sacrifice to see a better tomorrow.

Atiku may think I can laugh or bribe my way to actualizing it. Not detailing the price to achieve that.It cost money to haev your way in Nigeria even where you choose to help them.If you play holy or don't offer anything that immediately benefits each individual selfish desires you will end up facing plenty opposition that may jeopardize all your plan.

A country where contracts are inflated or allocated based of interest amongst people big and small. Where a electoral winner is always bound by some selfish agreement to some greedy entities. Get pass that is the teaming unpatriotic lot of citizens, not willing to change or move an inch to see a better tomorrow. A band of Saboteurs in every government affair.

In summary Nigeria and Nigerians are f***ed by Nigerians Big and small. If they TRULY want anything to ever work RIGHT the can make it so. Its not about party or individuals! We largely kill ourselves, loot ourselves, vote ourselves, rig ourselves, bribe ourselves, vandalize our community and property. Connive to ridicule the country,Insult ourselves & nurture the instrument of hatred, impunity, corruption and negative vices.

Forget all the blabbing the government is the people and what is happening in the nation is a reflection the people. Whether you distance yourself or insult it... you built it. How you sleep prep your bed na so you go sleep on top am.I am very very sure not outside can help us until we help ourselves first.

Atiku as usual will have made pacts and promises to people in position of influence/power.Agreed to some term(s), largely selfish. Same promise and agreement that will be his anchor or brakes as usual when ever he choose to act in the future. Which again is typical of Nigeria.

So far the only person who seem to have managed his National affairs with minimal interference na OBJ. Afterwards na from one lord to the other...Nigeria is a complex setting and politicians desperate for power and resources that they have lost any iota of respect for honesty, life and country.

It baffles me,why Atiku never drove such economic sense while he was the VP, while being in PDP and when he was in APC ? He had 2 clear opportunities to drive it and garner support for it! He was good at helping Saraki survive the NASS. Why not a bill or action to benefit all. I see the typical political promise and interest loading sha! It applies to all parties... grin grin grin grin

If only we were told all the details done in secrecy so we know which one will damage us the more.

Please for the sake of God just sell NNPC. For years NNPC cannot refine a quart Nigeria Crude all they do is collect their JV Share from international oil companies who drill nigerian crude. They have confined themselves to sole importers of refined petroleum products a Job common Ifeanyi UBA can handle. NNPC have been reduce to political patronage

hmmn funny guy. he plans to reduce recurrent expenditure(which is largely salary?), sell Nnpc and generate 25,000 mW . all typical political promise. still don't know what Nigerians see in either APC or PDP. there are other persons contesting who have a better clarity on the issues bedeviling this nation and have a better vision for this country. WHY CAN'T WE DRAIN THE SWAMP? WHY DO WE PERPETUATE THE SAME RECYCLED SHIT EVERY YEAR AS POLITICAL LEADERS ? WHY CAN'T WE TRY SOMETHING NEW. DO YOU REALLY THINK ATIKU IS GOING TO CHANGE NIGERIA FOR THE BETTER? HE HAS BEEN PART OF THE RULING ELITE SINCE 99. THE COUNTRY SITUATION IS GOING TO STILL BE THE SAME. LET US CHANGE THE NARRATIVE BY ELECTING NEW LEADERS WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN IN THE CORRIDORS OF POWER.
