This is because political parties are fueled by ideologies which reflect the very mindset of its members. So you can't because of a little grievance dump your party and move to another one with a completely different ideology. You'd be like a fish out of water.

Besides it goes to show APC and PDP are the same thing. Why didn't Nairaland Buharideens insult Atiku in 2015 when he declared support for Buhari? Why didn't they call him out for helping funding his campaign and all. But now that he's in PDP they suddenly remember he has a case to answer in the US. Smh.

Actually ,some politicians do crossover in the US and Europe.

Even the Republican and Democrat parties in the US have changed in nature....due to crossovers and countercrossovers over a long period of time...but that is a long story.
