The police in Kano State have arrested a two-man gang of sex workers allegedly enticing unsuspecting males into the illegal act from various quarters of Kano City.

The spokesman of Kano police command, SP Magaji Musa Majia, identified the suspects as Suraja Shehu of Layin Lale Cinema Goron Dutse Qtrs and Yahaya Sharif of Rijiyar Lemo Qtrs. He said the suspects went around identifying prominent men within the city and obtaining their mobile numbers through which they established a homosexual relationship with the willing targets while the unwilling ones were blackmailed.
Majia said the suspects used WhatsApp messenger to share phone numbers and other information about their unwilling targets to ridicule them and smear their reputation.
He said sometimes the suspects demanded for money from their targets, threatening to divulge their secrets on social media and private local radio stations.
